Electrical Safety Management Group
The ESMG is a resource which is intended to benefit those involved in the management of electrical safety and competency of personnel in the UK water industry.
The ESMG was formed in June 2014, following an event organised by the Water Industry Mechanical and Electrical Specifications (WIMES) Electrical Working Group to discuss the implementation of the IET's Code of Practice on Electrical Safety Management (issued November 2013) in the UK water industry.
The main aims/objectives of the ESMG are to:
- Facilitate benchmarking of UK water industry ESM topics and thereby help identify best practice; and
- Facilitate networking between personnel responsible for and involved in ESM in the UK water industry.
