Water Company Conferences & Awareness Events

The Pump Centre can host up to about six water company conferences and awareness events per year.

A water company conference is an event that is held in collaboration with a specific water company. The theme is chosen by the water company primarily to suit their needs. As part of the event the Pump Centre will host a small table-top exhibition with the exhibition space being offered to pump centre members on a first come first served basis. The number of exhibition spaces available depends on the size of the venue available for the event.

Awareness days are low cost events that focus on specific topics that are relevant to the members. Sometimes the topics are selected by the Pump Centre, but on other ocassions the ideas come from the Members. The Pump Centre is happy to organise an awareness day with any member company, however to promote the day as a Pump Centre event it is important to involve as many member companies in the technical programme as possible and also the day must be accessible to all members. Typically, a minimum of three member companies need to be involved for it to be promoted as a Pump Centre event and it must not just promote the expertise of one particular company.

Awareness days can be held anywhere in the UK and the typical format consists of a late morning start (10:00hrs) and a mid-afternoon finish (15:30hrs) with lunch and refreshments included.
