Our Front-line Operators course gives a basic appreciation of the design principals of various pieces of mechanical equipment to enable the operators to run and look after them better. The course is a hands-on practical course involving members of the supply chain and covers equipment such as Pumps, Motors, Valves, Penstocks, Electric Actuators and Lifting Equipment
Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will:
- Gain a practical understanding of how common mechanical assets work.
- Learn how equipment design influences operation and maintenance requirements.
- Improve their ability to identify developing equipment problems.
- Develop confidence in undertaking routine operational inspections.
- Understand safe operating practices and asset care principles.
- Build stronger knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, penstocks, electric actuators and lifting equipment through hands-on demonstrations.
- Develop better communication with maintenance teams and equipment specialists.
- Help maximise equipment performance, reliability and service life.
