We’re thrilled to announce that Workdry were crowned the winner of the first ever WES Pump Operations Challenge at the Water Equipment Show 2025, sponsored by Pump Centre member Vogelsang.
The friendly competition gave Pump Centre members and water industry professionals the opportunity to showcase their team’s pump engineering and maintenance skills in a simulation of the real-world challenges engineers face in the operation and maintenance of pump assets.
Machinery manufacturers of high-quality engineered equipment, Vogelsang, supplied a VX 136-105 Q pump for use in the challenge and designed a custom-built table to facilitate this competition. Companies from across the water industry demonstrated their engineering expertise, battling it out to be crowned the first ever champions of the Pump Operations Challenge. Participants were judged against four criteria: Health and Safety, Time, Operation, and Return to Service.
Workdry excelled on the day to gain the highest score and lift the Pump Operations Challenge trophy. They also won a Vogelsang goodybag, tools from Vogelsang used to carry out the rebuild of the pump, and a voucher from the Pump Centre.
Following the culmination of the competition, WES2025 attendees were also able to enjoy a live demonstration of the pump in action performed by Vogelsang’s expert team.
