As we increase our annual output, including scaling up our mini conferences and increasing the number of regional events across the UK, the Pump Centre will continue to foster collaboration, bringing together water companies, suppliers and engineers to innovate for a stronger future for the sector.
Experience and Enthusiasm for Membership Events
Louise brings over 15 years of experience in public relations and event management to the Pump Centre. Since climbing the ranks of event delivery at every company in which she’s worked, Louise has overseen and managed complex event programmes, ensuring the smooth delivery of small and large scale events both regionally and nationally. This, as well as her passion for engaging new audiences through storytelling and building collaborative communities, will serve the Pump Centre well with new opportunities and experiences for the UK water industry.
In the position of Events Delivery Manager, Louise will be instrumental in the continued growth of the Pump Centre’s events programme. Within her role, she will seek to work with Pump Centre partners, members and key stakeholders across the industry to deliver meaningful, quality event experiences that the membership values.
As an experienced team member in multiple membership organisations across a variety of industries, the biggest similarity Louise has seen throughout her career has been the importance of meeting the needs of its members. “It’s my mission to ensure The Pump Centre delivers meaningful and quality event experiences that our members truly value. I want to connect with Pump Centre members; I will always welcome feedback from any of our members who have ideas for events, or ways in which we can further deliver for our membership.”
Events Delivery for the Future
For 2026, the Pump Centre’s priorities include delivering an excellent Water Equipment Show in May; the exhibition is already shaping up to be the biggest yet, featuring over 200 exhibitors and an expanded programme across three halls at the Telford International Centre. In addition to developing the current offering, this year also brings new ways for the membership to connect and collaborate. This includes plans to explore the online and on-demand offering available on the Pump Centre website, providing virtual opportunities to come together more frequently and in between our face-to-face events. The Pump Centre will also continue to work across the sector to deliver highly valued technical seminars and top quality regional conferences - all events that enable members to connect with each other and great relationships to flourish which benefit the water industry as a whole.
“The future of the Pump Centre really excites me! There’s a fabulous team here and I’m looking forward to building upon and growing their amazing events programme, as well as bringing in a few ideas of my own. Membership is growing and evolving all the time too; we’re so much more than pumps these days, and that has to be a great sign for a bright future.”
