Achieving Net Zero with Wilo

The Pump Centre recently hosted a webinar with Wilo all about achieving net zero in pump manufacturing. Simon Oakes, Director of Wilo UK, joined the webinar series to discuss how new pump design can achieve high operational efficiency, high resilience and legislative requirements while simultaneously reducing impact in manufacturing.

Wilo is committed to the net zero cause, and announced in their 2022 Sustainability Report that they experienced a 93% annual growth in sustainability, assuring efficiency and innovation within the wider industry. Their wide range of technology also helped to secure and improve critical infrastructure, safeguarding the supply of water, energy and food.

Net zero is a prominent topic in the water industry, with water utilities aiming to achieve net zero by 2030. If this goal is achieved before 2050, the UK water sector could save the emission of 10 million tonnes of greenhouse gases.

Companies like Wilo are paving the way towards a more sustainable future. By harnessing smart technologies and sharing expertise with other members, we can make practical steps to achieving net zero.

The Pump Centre is proud to support our members who are working towards net zero.
