Water Equipment Show presented by Pump Centre
16th May 2019
International Centre, Telford.

From 2019 the Pump Centre Conference and Exhibition will have a new name. To reflect the growing impact of the event within our related industry sectors and markets, it will be retitled the "Water Equipment Show presented by Pump Centre".

The show itself has increased in size and impact and it no longer reflects just the pumps sector alone, but other associated areas too!

Water Equipment Show is being held at Telford International Centre on Thursday 16th May 2019 and is recognised as the leading event of its kind within the UK. The Show consists of a main technical conference, a discussion workshop, breakout sessions and a quality exhibition of water & wastewater equipment and services.

For 2019 the main conference theme is:

Pumps and Pumping Systems – A New Horizon?

Pumps and pumping systems, including all associated controls, equipment and operational and maintenance practices, is entering a new era of digitalisation and industrial revolution. Advances in technology have produced a new breed of pumps with integrated intelligence. Significant advances have been made in control systems and data acquisition and analysis. These advances have driven demands for improved data-driven decision-making processes and for assets to be suitable for integration within SMART networks.

The need to reduce Whole Life Cost is ever present as is the need for improved efficiency and reliability. Industry 4.0, which many perceive to be the dawn of the fourth industrial revolution, is a move towards automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. It includes cyber physical systems, the Internet of Things, cloud computing and cognitive computing.

Industry 4.0 fosters an environment where decentralised decisions are made, and over the Internet of Things cyber physical systems communicate and cooperate with each other and with humans. A new era of development and challenge is on the horizon for everyone associated with the manufacture, operation and maintenance of pumps, systems and all associated equipment.

This conference will review the current state of technology and developments in products, systems and maintenance procedures in preparation for digitalisation. The challenges facing designers, operators, manufacturers and service suppliers of pumps and pumping systems and associated technologies will also be reviewed.

Presentation topics could include:

• Examples of new pumps and associated products, systems and processes introduced/being developed for Industry 4.0
• Developments in Smart Water Solutions, pump technologies and products and integration of assets into SMART networks
• New approaches to control systems and predictive maintenance requirements using data driven decision-making processes
• How to bring designers, manufacturers, operators and maintenance service suppliers together to deliver improvements in an Industry 4.0 environment
• Changes to the procurement process in preparation for the new landscape
• The role of innovation and its use to deliver targeted solutions
